I was quite surprised by the vividness of the scenes and the writing in general. I was hooked right away, with the first chapter dedicated to a day in the life of a tumbleweed. Another about an empty mine. The story is about ordinary things, with the purpose of getting you to go to sleep. A wonderfully original idea, perfectly executed.
The stories are quite sleep inducing. I read through them to see what they were about when not using them to aid sleep and I was getting annoyed at the lack of plot development, but that, again, is the point. They are very descriptive about things that scenic and relaxing. They do put you in a particular place and move along at a pace that will slow down your mind.

This is quite funny. I like the idea of boring stories, but as I read through it, I found it to be fascinating! Especially the history of the beige color! I suppose it really depends on the individual on whether or not it will be boring but it was was great!
